Get Up, Stand Up. Stand Up for Your Rights. // In the Episcopal Church's lectionary calendar for the Daily Office, there's one set of readings for "Year One" (years in which Easter falls in an odd-numbered year, although the calendar begins with the first Sunday in Advent the year before) and another set for "Year Two." But most of the minor feast days that are determined by a calendar date and not it's relationship to Easter or Christmas (e.g., "The Conversion of St. Paul") generally get the same readings in either year. An added wrinkle is that the "Third Sunday in Epiphany" trumps something like "The Conversion of St. Paul," so the latter celebration would in fact be "translated" (transferred) to the next available weekday -- which happened to be today, since January 25 is actually the Feast of the Conversion of St. Paul.
